Potts Drilling is located 6 miles West of Bozeman on Highway 191. Just down the road is Big Sky and the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. We are blessed to be able to live in and serve the residents of the Gallatin Valley and Southwestern Montana.

Potts Drilling, Inc. is a second generation family owned well drilling company that was established by Herb Potts in 1964. We believe we have been able to remain successful even through difficult economic times because of the importance we place on meeting customers needs. This is imperative in order to have and maintain a good reputation.

Dave’s Grandparents immigrated from Holland and settled in the Gallatin Valley in the 1920’s. Being able to live, work and serve residents of Southwestern Montana in their need for water has been an incredible blessing and our hope and prayer is that God will continue to allow us to do so for many years to come.

The current owners are Dave & Carolyn Potts. Dave’s father was the founder and Dave grew up drilling wells and installing pumps for him.

We are in the business of being successful but our definition of success is “knowing that we have contributed to someone’s need”.

What we believe this says is that serving our customer’s needs is of upmost importance.

Because Potts Drilling is a family owned business Dave is personally involved in almost every aspect of every job. He manages the jobs from the first call to submitting the final invoice. This provides for the communication that is so necessary to maintain throughout the project in order that customers needs are met. We believe this also provides the customer with the service and quality that we can be proud of. Providing you with quality work and materials at a reasonable competitive price is of upmost importance but this cannot always be done at the lowest price. Quality lives on long after the sale and we have many return contractors, engineers, and customers that will testify to this.

We work hard to find out all we can about your project and what your needs are so that we can provide you with what it is you need. Almost every job is different because every customer and site is different. It is very important to us to make sure we take the time to listen to you and then give you options. Often this will require an onsite visit which is much preferred. There is no charge for this onsite visit or for preparing an estimate for your job.
